Apply Now for Illinois' Back to Business Grant Program

You may be eligible for the State's Back to Business Grant Program, which directs small business recovery grants to those hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic.

A quick summary if you may be eligible:

  • Must have been operating during or before December 2019.
  • Less than $20 million in gross operating revenue in 2019 (or prorated amount if only open for a portion of 2019).
  • Must have experienced a loss in revenue of at least $5,000 in 2020 due to economic disruptions related to the pandemic.
  • Must have complied with all relevant laws, regulations, and executive orders from the State and Federal Government, including social distancing guidelines as promulgated by the Executive Orders of the Illinois Governor.

A further (but not complete) set of guidelines are outlined on this PDF from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Ecomomic Opportunity.

Visit https://www2.illinois.gov/dceo/SmallBizAssistance/Pages/B2B.aspx to learn more about the grant, including funding categories, priority categories, and more.

If you already qualified for state or federal funding (such as the PPP, BIG, SVOG, or others), the Heritage Corridor Business Alliance suggests that you still apply for the grant.  Although you may "fall off" the high-priority list, you could still be eligible for funds.
